Where is the best live chat-based place to go for a classroom discussion?

Its a group of about 10 people, for AP English Literature. Yahoo doesnt have private rooms anymore, but I AM considering the conference capability, but I was hoping more for a “Click here to begin chat” type interface, that wont confuse anyone. AIM has a DECENT interface, but only for people who are familiar with AIM. MyspaceIM doesnt even allow conferences and neither does Google Talk. I’m looking for a FREE service, where we can name and add an address to our own room. Possibly even the capability of tagging it onto our Google Groups homepage, that would be amazing. I would love it if it were a 24 hours thing, where you can just come and go without the group leader being in there. And, the ability to save conversations. If non-members are allowed to chat (aka, no registration required), that would be GREAT. I’m hoping for web-based, but downloadable app would be okay too. Audio/Video/File transfer capability would be an UBER plus. Good luck all!

By TAGGING onto our page, I meant the ability to copy-paste a HTML script that allows people to go to the page, and then chat, or just observe. That would be AWESOME.
